One address, answered by the people who build the app
Email [email protected] — questions, bug reports, feature requests, license trouble, anything. We usually reply within a couple of business days. For bugs, the fastest route is Help ▸ Report an Issue inside the app: it fills in the build and system details for you, and includes your session logs only if you leave that option checked (Show Logs shows exactly what would be sent).
What are the system requirements?
macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel (one universal build). Analyzing recordings has no other requirements; live capture needs a supported SDR.
Which SDRs work?
RTL-SDR, HackRF One, USRP (via UHD), HydraSDR RFOne, and anything with a SoapySDR module. Each device's free library installs with one Homebrew command and Sigil picks it up at runtime — see the docs for the exact lines.
Do I need an SDR at all?
No. Sigil opens IQ recordings directly — SigMF, raw float/int formats, WAV, BLUE, SDVR — and the whole analysis workflow works on files. A radio is only needed to capture live signal.
I lost my license key — can you resend it?
Yes. Email [email protected] from the address the key was issued to and we'll resend it. Self-serve recovery is coming.
How do updates work?
The app updates itself: signed, notarized builds delivered through the built-in update mechanism (Sparkle). You can check manually or turn automatic checking off in Preferences. Update checks send no usage data — see the privacy policy.
Where are my session logs?
Help ▸ Reveal Session Log in Finder, or ~/Library/Logs/Sigil. The last ten sessions are kept, on your Mac only — they're never sent anywhere unless you attach them to a report.
How do I join the beta?
Ask for an invite. Beta participation is free and covered by the beta agreement.
Refunds?
Covered by the refund policy: 14 days, no questions asked, once purchasing opens.
